Mission

The Molecular Biology Center of Cameroon with its specialized and multidisciplinary team that is creative, innovative, dedicated and hard working have the goal to:

  • Strengthen the field of Molecular Biology through training and workshops
  • Promote Biotechnology and applied research
  • Discover new restriction enzymes
  • Develop effective and affordable diagnostic tools for infectious diseases
  • Screen and develop new anti HIV molecules based on medicinal plants
  • Build low-cost scientific instrumentation for life and clinical sciences

We endeavor to achieve this mission through collaboration with established institutions and providing training opportunities with organization such as SSI (www.ssilink.org), CIRCB (www.circb-cameroun.org)

As a not-for-profit organization, the Molecular Biology Centre reinvests all profits (if any) derived from its activities back into the Centre.
